Cipondoh Crowned Overall Champion at Tangerang City MTQ XXIV 2025

Berita7 |Tangerang, Indonesia – The delegation from Cipondoh District has been crowned the overall champion of the 24th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) at the Tangerang City level in 2025. Ciledug District secured second place, while Batuceper District finished third.

The MTQ XXIV, hosted at Situ Cipondoh, Cipondoh District, saw participation from 584 contestants representing 13 districts across Tangerang City. The closing ceremony, held on Wednesday evening, October 8, 2025, featured the presentation of the rotating MTQ Trophy to Cipondoh’s district head, Muhamad Marwan, by Tangerang City Mayor Sachrudin.

In his speech, Mayor Sachrudin expressed gratitude for the smooth and successful execution of the event. He emphasized the importance of translating Quranic knowledge into daily practice.

“This year’s MTQ was conducted successfully and vibrantly. Congratulations to all winners, especially Cipondoh District as the overall champion. May the love for the Qur’an be reflected not only in recitation but also in actions,” he said.

Mayor Sachrudin highlighted that Tangerang City’s development must be grounded in spiritual and moral values. The local government continues to support religious initiatives, including incentives for Quran teachers, mosque caretakers, and religious study leaders, as well as programs for Quran memorization, Islamic festivals, and Quranic educational institutions.

District Head Muhamad Marwan expressed pride in his delegation’s achievement, attributing the success to the hard work of participants and local religious organizations. “We are grateful for the support from all parties. This achievement inspires us to excel further at the provincial and national levels,” he stated.

MTQ XXIV Committee Chair Zuhri Fauzi noted that the competition aims not only to celebrate Quranic recitation but also to cultivate skilled and morally upright Quranic scholars.

“This MTQ is a journey to develop a generation of Qur’anic leaders with excellent character,” he said.

Cipondoh District’s victory brings home more than just a trophy; it symbolizes a renewed commitment to strengthening Islamic values and community cohesion across Tangerang City. (VaN)
