Berita7 | Mancanegara, South Tangerang, Indonesia – The students of SDN Puspiptek brought great pride to their city after achieving an impressive feat at the 2025 Banten Marching Festival, held at SMKN 1 Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
In this prestigious provincial-level event, SDN Puspiptek stood out as the only school from South Tangerang to reach the Top 3 while also earning the title of Favorite Team, a remarkable double achievement that caught the attention of both judges and the audience.
The festival, which contested the Banten Governor’s Rotating Trophy, featured 100 school teams representing eight regencies and cities across the province. The participants included 25 elementary (SD/MI) teams, 35 junior high (SMP/MTs) teams, and 40 senior high (SMA/SMK/MA) teams.
SDN Puspiptek’s flag-raising corps team, known as Laskar Ababil, delivered a captivating performance with precision and synchronized movements that won the admiration of the crowd. Alongside them, SMKN 3 South Tangerang also made it into the Top 15.
The team’s coach, Ibnu Itsnaini Syahril Muharram, often called Ibnu, explained that the preparation period was relatively short.
“We started training right after the Independence Day celebration in August. The students first performed at the school event, and then we began preparing for the marching festival,” Ibnu said.
Despite the limited preparation time, the journey was not without challenges.
“The main obstacles were unpredictable weather, fatigue, and family schedule conflicts. The students trained from morning to noon, often under changing conditions from heat to rain,” he explained.

Laskar Ababil is a legendary Paskibra team from SDN Puspiptek, previously known for winning the South Tangerang Mayor’s Cup three consecutive times before going inactive during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year marks their strong comeback with renewed energy and determination.
Ibnu hopes that this achievement will reignite enthusiasm for Paskibra activities in elementary schools, especially in South Tangerang.
“We want to represent South Tangerang proudly and make SDN Puspiptek known again. Hopefully, this will inspire more schools to rebuild their marching teams seriously,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, Alfrido, one of the proud members of Laskar Ababil, shared his happiness after the team’s success.
“I’m so happy and proud that we brought home both the Favorite Team award and made it into the Top 3,” he said.
The success of SDN Puspiptek’s Laskar Ababil is a testament to the enduring discipline and teamwork spirit among young Indonesian students. More than just a competition, their victory symbolizes resilience, unity, and the pride of South Tangerang on the provincial stage. (Dir)
